On December 17th, seven students from The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ) were invited to represent the school at the Motto by Hilton China’s First Store Launch and Concert, an event organized by the Shinan District Government of Qingdao.
President Lu Siqing attended the event and delivered a speech, expressing his thoughts:
“Thanks to the unwavering support from all sectors of society, The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao has consistently achieved remarkable success. We are also thrilled to see an increasing number of social platforms providing our students with valuable opportunities for hands-on experience and performance, enabling their continued growth and development.”
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Wang Luming, Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Qingdao Municipal People’s Congress; Zhao Yan, Vice Mayor of Qingdao; Bi Weizhun, Secretary-General of the Qingdao Municipal People’s Congress; and Wang Feng, Secretary of the Shinan District Committee.
Students from YMSQ who participated in this social practice event included Li Mufeng, a Grade 6 violin student; Siena Vuscan, a Grade 10 classical guitar student; and Li Junjie, a Grade 11 piano student. Also performing was a String Quartet composed of Wang Weikuan, Jing Haoran, Wei Chuanqi, and Kuang Yihao.
