Playing Mozart | Qingdao Menuhin Violin Competition to Be Held

On June 13, Menuhin Hall will host the Second Qingdao Yehudi Menuhin School Violin Competition – Mozart Concerto Special Event.

This competition is organized by the Violin Department and co‑organized by the Keyboard Department. It aims to guide students in delving deeply into the artistic essence of Mozart's concertos, while honing their performance skills and psychological resilience on a professional stage. Mozart's concertos demand exceptional clarity of phrasing, precision of rhythm, and musical expressiveness—making this a valuable opportunity for growth for young performers. Each participant will choose one of Mozart's five violin concertos and perform its first movement and the cadenza from memory.

Registration and the drawing of performance order have now been completed, and the participating students are diligently preparing. We look forward to hearing their lucid tones in Menuhin Hall and witnessing their musical dreams come to life.

You are cordially invited to scan the QR code on the poster to join the “Menuhin Philharmonic” WeChat group for more information about the competition and to reserve a seat on campus to attend the event.
