Leading the Way: 19 Chamber Music and Orchestra Ensembles Embark on Their Dream Journey

Since establishing the Chamber Music and Orchestra Department, Professor Yang Gefang, Head of the Faculty, along with her team, has analyzed the students' current status across disciplines. They formed six string ensembles, nine piano ensembles, and four wind ensembles based on students' proficiency levels. The students are enthusiastic and ready to embark on their journey.

This semester, the department has meticulously planned both academic and artistic practice. Classic chamber and orchestral works will be selected for study, and stage performances will serve as assessments. Outstanding ensembles will be recommended for larger stages to showcase their talents. For more details, please click on the video above.

"The chamber music and orchestra discipline demand a high level of student autonomy. Our main goal in establishing this discipline is to cultivate students' independence, giving them an edge in large-scale activities and competitions. In the classroom, I emphasize the same requirements repeatedly because mastering chamber music and orchestra skills is a gradual process. Establishing standards and developing cooperative habits among students not only enhances their professional learning but also fosters meticulousness, cooperation, and proactivity."
