On August 13, Professor Aaron Shorr, Director of Music and Piano Professor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, visited The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao for a comprehensive tour.

During his visit, Professor Shorr thoroughly examined the school's educational and teaching facilities, faculty setup, educational philosophy, and teaching practices. He also familiarised himself with the school's establishment and development history, as well as its impressive achievements, all of which he highly commended. Professor Shorr expressed that he had followed The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao with great interest since its inception and was delighted to see the school rise swiftly within just two years, establishing a notable presence on the international stage.

Professor Shorr shared that the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is dedicated to nurturing students with independent thinking, creativity, and strong collaborative skills, which aligns closely with The Yehudi Menuhin School's philosophy of holistic education. He expressed great anticipation for more students from The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao to choose the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the future and looks forward to further collaboration between the two institutions. Together, they aim to select and cultivate even more musical talents who will make their mark on the global stage.

To attract and select exceptional young musical talent from China, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland conducts live auditions in different Chinese cities every November. Starting this year, the conservatoire is also working to establish fixed audition sites on the Chinese mainland, making it easier to conduct auditions, workshops, masterclasses, and lectures.
