On July 28, the 2024 Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao Summer School officially opened with a series of exciting events on the first day, including registration, campus tours, orientation sessions, music performances, and a reception. The energy was electric, with everyone fully immersed in the festivities.

For many summer school students setting foot on The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao campus for the first time, there was a sense of wonder and anticipation as they explored this "artistic ship amidst the mountains and sea."

The summer school’s grand opening concert was an extraordinary and breathtaking performance. Featuring a range of carefully synchronized collaborations, including dual electronic keyboards, classical guitar and violin duets, double violins, and double cellos, the concert—performed by students and faculty from The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao—wove together a series of captivating musical moments. The audience was left in awe, not only of the beauty of the performances but also of the school’s professionalism and international calibre.
