On the afternoon of July 18, Huang Zhixian, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Vice Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee, led a delegation on a visit to The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao for a comprehensive review. During the visit, Huang Zhixian and his team inspected the school's cultural and music teaching buildings, cultural centre, music classrooms, student practice rooms, and concert hall, among other educational and teaching facilities. They were given an in-depth briefing on the school's faculty, its distinctive music-focused curriculum, student development, and the achievements made since the school opened. Huang Zhixian expressed his strong approval of the school's well-appointed facilities, international teaching staff, and the remarkable progress it has made in a relatively short period.
Huang Zhixian noted his hopes that The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao will continue to build on this promising start, working tirelessly to cultivate even more outstanding and well-rounded young musical talent. He also emphasised the importance of leveraging the school’s international platform to attract and unite more top overseas musical talent to return to China, contributing even more to the country’s music education landscape.
Accompanying the delegation were Zhang Hui, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, along with Feng Shangwei, Deputy Head of the United Front Work Department of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Shandong Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office.
