As the new semester is about to commence, YMSQ makes an important announcement: After nearly a year of research and preparation, its vocal music program will be officially launched before the start of the new semester!

The establishment of the vocal music program stems from YMSQ's profound insight into and response to the artistic growth needs of young students. With an increasing number of Chinese students pursuing vocal music seeking professional and international learning and development pathways, and building on the school's consistently outstanding educational achievements, as well as the mature development of disciplines such as strings, piano, and wind instruments, the school continues to be rooted in the "holistic education" philosophy and for the first time, it incorporates vocal music art into the Menuhin educational landscape, continuously building its music education system to meet the eager anticipation of vocal music talents for high-level, internationalized education.

The newly established vocal music program at YMSQ will be led by an international faculty team headed by Professor Wang Kewei, a professor in the Vocal Opera Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, a doctoral supervisor, and an internationally renowned baritone singer. Initially, the program will primarily target high school students, enabling them not only to refine their singing skills under the guidance of renowned experts but also to experience the diverse integration of musical arts through interdisciplinary collaboration with disciplines such as strings and piano. Leveraging YMSQ's professional and personalized training model, it will lay a solid foundation for students to achieve significant professional growth, realize their holistic personal development, and gain admission to prestigious international music conservatories and comprehensive universities of their dreams.
