On November 19-20, entrance auditions for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) for applicants from Mainland China will once again be held at our school. As the only official audition venue in Mainland China certified by RCS, The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao has, for two consecutive years, provided outstanding young musicians with this invaluable opportunity to audition directly for a world-leading conservatoire.

I. Firm Recognition from RCS

Founded in 1847 and consistently ranked within the global top 10 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject in Performing Arts, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is a dream "artistic temple" for countless music talents. There, students can learn from international award winners, industry masters, and renowned visiting artists, exploring creative boundaries through interdisciplinary artistic encounters—from classical to contemporary music, from instrumental performance to music education, RCS's programs cover almost all core directions in the field of music.

Since becoming its only audition venue in Mainland China in August 2024, The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao has consistently earned high recognition from RCS and auditioning candidates through its professional facilities and international educational environment. RCS has stated: "The teaching system here shares the same roots as the Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK. From curriculum design to faculty composition, it seamlessly aligns with the highest international standards of music education." Selecting this location for consolidated auditions for all age groups from Mainland China is not only a continuation of the deep collaboration between the two institutions but also a direct affirmation of the international music education strength of The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao.

II. Our Students Lead the Way

Graduates from the first three cohorts of The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao have already received offers from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. 1. Audition Dates & Venue

Dates: November 19-20, 2025

Venue: The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (No. 299 Yinshatan Road, West Coast New District, Qingdao)

2.Applicable Programs

Applicants for all undergraduate and postgraduate music programs at RCS are eligible for these auditions, except for Jazz, Scottish Traditional Music, Composition, and Opera.

3.  Application Process

Candidates must submit their application materials via the UCAS or Acceptd platform.

Application Deadline: October 2, 2025 (before 18:00 UK time).
