Starlight Award: Education is a Two-Way Illumination
Tian Jiaxin, Associate Professor of Piano from the Keyboard Department, and Wang Boyang, Violin Teacher from the Violin Department, received the "Starlight Award" for Outstanding Educators of 2025.
Associate Professor Tian Jiaxin's words moved everyone present: "From concert performer to educator, my original aspiration has never changed. I was deeply moved by Menuhin's 'Holistic Education' philosophy, which has kept me steadfast in illuminating the journey of chasing dreams with love and knowledge, and in safeguarding the path of growth with the warmth of home."
Teacher Wang Boyang compared teaching to a journey of "joy through pain" shared by teachers and students alike. "I have even gained more than the children," he said. At The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao, the transmission of artistic heritage is a principle deeply upheld by all faculty members. As young teachers, they bear the special responsibility of bridging the past and future, passing the torch from one generation to the next, and together nurturing the grand aspirations of young music lovers.
