Embracing childhood and cherishing its beauty, The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao planned a special Children's Day lunchtime concert and a beach sports event, allowing children to revel in the joy of early summer.
Children's Day Lunchtime Concert: Laughter and Seriousness Combined!
The English literature and drama course, a popular feature at The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao, showcased classic children's plays reimagined and performed in English. Students brought to life scenes from "The Three Little Pigs" and "Holes," delighting the audience with their creativity.
Students from the General Musicianship and Musical Drama elective performed "The Ugly Duckling" on stage. Their humorous performance, immersive role-playing, clever use of props, and fluent English narration highlighted their language skills through enthusiastic acting.
During an interactive segment between performances, student Zhang Wenting performed Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2," with teachers and parents waving flags to the rhythm, leading the audience in lively participation of this virtuosic challenge.
The Menuhin Children's Choir, in collaboration with the ukulele elective students, performed the classic song "Childhood," capturing beautiful childhood memories in their melody.
Beach Sports Event: Unlimited Fun and Emerging Young Heroes!
Surrounded by the sea on three sides, The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao embraced the ocean on this special day. Students, teachers, school management, and parents gathered at the picturesque Golden Beach, kicking off a fun-filled beach sports event amidst the blue sky and clear waters.
Students were divided into teams by grade, donned their uniforms, and were ready for action!

The students enjoyed various exciting beach games, with the atmosphere reaching peaks of excitement and cheer!
Aiming, getting ready, weighing their chances, holding their breath, sprinting, and gearing up for the challenge—regardless of the game's outcome, the process brought the most joy!
The event was filled with thrilling moments, fiery enthusiasm, and the young participants, who collaborated, dared to compete, and loved to engage, repeatedly bringing the atmosphere to new heights!
