Master of Music, Central Conservatory of Music
Zhang Jingxuan began her piano studies at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music in 2018. In 2022, she was admitted as the top-ranked student to the Master’s program in Collaborative Piano (Orchestral Instruments) at the Central Conservatory of Music, under the guidance of Professor Huang Mengmeng.
In June 2024, she was awarded the Second Prize at the 2nd Xinghai National Collaborative Piano Competition, where she also performed with the acclaimed Xinghai String Quartet at the Lang Lang Music Hall of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music. The same year, she received the Silver Prize in Chamber Music (Professional Category) at the 12th Mendelssohn International Piano Competition. In 2023, she was granted the First-Class Scholarship by the Central Conservatory of Music and received the Yamaha Asian Music Scholarship for two consecutive years. In 2021, she won First Prize in the Duo Piano category at the SIPC Singapore International Piano Competition, as well as First Prize at the 6th Singapore–China International Music Competition.
Zhang has performed in major venues including the China National Opera House, Beijing Arts Center, Tianjin Grand Theatre, and Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre. In July 2025, she served as collaborative pianist for a recital by Roman Kim—the celebrated violinist hailed as “the 21st-century Paganini”—at the Jinshanling Hall in Aranya. She was also invited by composer Professor Yao Henglu to premiere and record his work *Narrative No. 2 – Flowers of Ningxia* for piano, released by People’s Music Publishing House. Additionally, she performed as a harpsichordist in a dedicated Bach keyboard works concert at the Central Conservatory of Music.
Beyond solo performance, Zhang has served as the official collaborative pianist for the 1st China Wieniawski International String Competition (October 2024) and for the National Violin Concerto Competition from 2022 to 2025. Since 2019, she has worked extensively as a collaborative pianist in prestigious events such as masterclasses by members of the Berlin Philharmonic, Zhuhai International String Masterclasses, the Tianjin Poly Orchestral Festival, the 2024 Khachaturian International Youth Competition, the Hong Kong International Violin Competition, the Musicacoustica Beijing Festival, and the Beijing selection round of the Golden Bell Awards, accumulating rich experience in instrumental and vocal collaboration.
Throughout her studies, she has received instruction and guidance from internationally acclaimed artists and educators including Michel Dalberto, Letizia Michielon, Chih-Yi Chen, Michael Dussek, Gwendolyn Mok, and Yuan Sheng, earning high praise for her musicality and collaborative sensitivity.
