Young Flutist Trained in Germany

She was born in 1996 in Taipei City, Taiwan, China, and began studying the flute at the age of eight. She successively gained admission to the music programmes of Taipei Guting Elementary School, Ren'ai Junior High School, and the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University.
In 2016, she entered the University of Music Saar (Hochschule für Musik Saar) to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Flute Performance and Music Education, studying flute under Tatjana Ruhland – principal flute of the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra and formerly professor at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts – and Grigory Mordashov, principal flute of the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. She studied piccolo with Birgit Engelhardt, piccoloist of the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2021, she was admitted with a perfect score to the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts for a Master's programme in Performance, studying with Professor Jean-Michel Tanguy, a prize-winner of the Geneva International Music Competition. Her graduation recording of Devienne's Flute Concerto No. 7 in E minor was praised by the faculty as "the best flutist in recent years – excellent musicality, beautiful tone and high aptitude", and she graduated with top marks.
During her studies, she won Second Prize at the 4th Singapore International Flute Festival, First Prize in flute at the Taiwan Excellence Cup International Music Competition, and other awards. As a soloist, she was invited by a municipal government to perform a Mozart flute concerto, toured with the Tanglü Flute Ensemble in Nanjing, Harbin and other cities, and gave solo performances at the Saarburg International Music Camp in Germany, the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Saarland Water Modern Music Festival in Germany, and the Carl Prinz Palais in Heidelberg. She also took part in recording the flute textbook Everybody Plays the Flute published by Chenxi Publishing House in Taiwan, China, and performed as guest principal flute with the Homburg Symphony Orchestra in Germany.
After graduating in 2023, she became the 38th brand ambassador for "Chao Ren Tan" and a flute judge for the Taiwan Excellence Cup Music Competition. Since then, she has devoted herself to flute education, applying concepts drawn from her years of in-depth research into contemporary European music education for children. Her students are spread across Canada, Australia, Europe and various regions of China. Her teaching approach enables students to learn in a relaxed and joyful way while building a solid and correct technical foundation, resulting in outstanding achievements. This has overturned the common perception that learning music is tedious, earning her high praise from both parents and students.
Her students' achievements include: a 17-year-old student admitted to the Bachelor's programme in Performance at the University of the Arts Bremen; a 10-year-old student admitted to the music gifted programme at a secondary school in Saarland, Germany; First Prizes in the Hummingbird Music Awards of the China Youth Music Competition in the Qingdao, Chengdu and Beijing divisions; a Gold Medal at the Beijing Xicheng/Dongcheng District Art Festival; First Place at the North York Music Festival in Canada; and at the Rizhao Zhonghua Cup, 3 Gold and 5 Silver awards in the primary school category. Her students, all admitted as the youngest members, have also joined ensembles such as the Chengdu Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Harbin Conservatory of Music.
