Ding Zuo was graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, where she studied under the renowned cellist and educator Professor Yu Mingqing. She has held concerts in cities such as San Diego, Busan, Jeju Island, Zhuhai, Wuhan, and Guangzhou. During her study time, she learned chamber music under Professor Chen Yun, Professor Yang Gefang, and the Amber Quartet, accumulating rich experience in performance and teaching.
While studying at the Central Conservatory of Music, Ding Zuo joined the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, participating in the recording of large works such as the complete Brahms symphonies and Mahler’s 4th Symphony. She has been invited to attend numerous China national and international art festivals for learning and performance practice, receiving guidance from renowned experts like Lynn Harrell, Wolfram Koessel, and Qin Liwei.
In 2015, Ding Zuo was invited to perform at the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra’s “Huimin YaYue” Cello Solo Concert. In 2019, she performed at the “Great Beauty of Spring” Spring Festival Gala at The Great Hall of the People and was also a soloist at the opening ceremony of the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Additionally, she performed the cello solo for the song “Heart of China,” released by People’s Daily in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In addition to her passion for classical music, she has frequently participated in crossover performances and film scoring, showcasing her superb playing skills. She has also performed with numerous renowned musicians and artists, including Tan Dun, Siqing Lu, Qin Liwei, and Jackie Chan, accumulating valuable stage experience.
