Austrian pianist Patrick Lechner studied with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at Mozarteum Salzburg. Doctorate at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Multiple prize winner in international competitions, Joseph-Dichler Competition, Bösendorfer Competition, Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford/USA, Münchner Klavierpodium in Munich/Germany, grand prize winner of the "Steinway Prize" in Germany.


Concertizes throughout Europe, the USA, Korea and China. He played under major conductors Martin Wettges, Maxim Heller, Aik Khai Pung, etc. and collaborated with Kai Gleusteen, Korbinian Altenberger, Vladan Koci, Erkan Aki etc. Frequent concert appearances in the most prestigious concert halls such as Musikverein Golden Hall Vienna, Laeisz Hall Hamburg, Congress Innsbruck, Gasteig Philharmonie Munich, St.Martin-in-the-Fields London, Austrian National Library, Ehrbar Hall, Kumho Art Hall Seoul. Performed in notable music festivals like the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, Pianopalooza Cincinnati, Münchner Klavier-Festival etc. His performances were broadcast by major Radio and TV stations (ORF Austria, Hunan TV China). 


Professor at the Tyrolean State Conservatory, the Yeungnam University in South Korea, Hunan First Normal University and CCAA at Chengdu University in China. He is teaching master classes on several continents, at the music festival “Allegro Vivo”, the International piano festival “Young Pianists Worldwide" in Vienna, CIMA Central International Music Academy.


Invited as Jury member for major competitions, for the German competition, Jugend musiziert” for the Melbourne International Youth Competition, the Brahms International Piano Competition. Serves as President of EPTA China (European Piano Teachers Association, China branch) and as artistic director of the annual Chengdu International Music Week. Recipient of the Reform-and-Innovation Award in Chengdu and the Chengdu Jinsha Friendship Award.
