An Italian, born in Paris and raised in London, Claudia Carrey attended the junior department of the Royal College of Music to study under the guidance of leading violin pedagogue Lutsia Ibragimova. At the Royal College she won the Marjorie Humby Prize for best soloist performance and was consistently laureate of each competition which she undertook.

In 2011 she gained acceptance to the senior department of the Royal College of Music, where she obtained a BMUs degree in violin performance graduating in 2015. During her degree, she studied under the supervision of the internationally renowned violinist Radu Blidar and the violin pedagogue Berent Korfker (Assistant of Professor Zakhar Bron). She furthered her studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris under the guidance of Igor Volochine. Whilst undertaking her BMus, Claudia regularly attended master classes with Constantin Bogdanas (Member of the Enesco Quartet), Harold Herzl, David Fruhwirth and private masterclass as part of Berent Korfker's class with Zakhar Bron. Claudia also had the opportunity to study violin performance and chamber music for several months in New-York with Daniel Phillips, leader of the Orion String Quartet.

Claudia has vast experience as a soloist, having performed notably at the Wigmore Hall, Brompton Oratory Chapel, St John Fisher Parish in London, Terme di Caracalla in Rome and Palazzo Ricci in Montepulciano Italy. She also had the privilege to perform for the 10Oth birthday celebration of the Nobel prize winner and Italian senator Rita Levi-Montalcini. She has had the opportunity to play with the the worlds leading conductors as part of the RCM Symphony and Philharmonic orchestras, including Vladimir Ashkenazy，Peter Stark, Nicolas Collon and Sir Roger Norrigton. Her orchestra experience also include European touring in prestigious halls such as Cadogan Hall, St Martin-in- the-Fields, St James's Piccadilly, Royal Festival Hall in London, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Communale di Bologna, Teatro Argentina, Teatro Quirino di Roma, Salle Cortot in Paris, Salle Pleyel and Palais 12 in Bruxelles.
