Zhang Xueying graduated from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide, Australia. She studied under Professor Lucinda Collins, an Australian pianist and Head of the Piano Department at the University of Adelaide. During her study, she received guidance from Russian pianist Konstantin Shamray, the overall champion of the Sydney Piano Competition, and Professor Anna Goldsworthy, Dean of the Elder Conservatorium of Music. She graduated with the highest grade of High Distinction.
In terms of teaching practice, in 2020, she worked as a piano teacher at Prospect Primary School, a state primary school in South Australia, Australia. She was mainly responsible for teaching beginner-level piano, focusing on cultivating basic music skills and musical auditory training, and encouraging students to explore the possibilities of musical expression to improve their performance abilities. In 2021, she interned as a piano teacher at the Elder conservatorium of music (Adelaide). In 2022, she joined The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao. The students under her collaborative teaching and guidance won many awards, such as the first prize in the final of the Hong Kong International Piano Invitational Competition, the gold medal in the final of the Chinese region of the Liszt International Youth Piano Competition, and the first prize in the final of the “Pearls of Ohrid” International Competition for Young Musicians in Macedonia, EU.
