Zhang Ti, a famous violinist and an outstanding educator, he first study with violinist HongXiang Zhang, then studied in Central Conservatory, and graduated with summa cum laude. At age 23, he went to The Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada and also Indiana University in USA. In Indiana, he became a pupil of Joseph Gingoldand and also studied with Jame Laredo. 


In 1990, he won Tchaikovsky violin competition in Moscow, also appeared as soloist with the Moscow symphony orchestra, and was acclaimed “Emerging violinist with bright future”.


Zhang Ti taught at the Academy of Music in Canada North York and Toronto Conservatory of Music. He currently serve as Professor of Violin at the Central Conservatory of Music, and conduct violin masterclass with conservatory students.
