On December 1st, the 7th Dongrun Foundation Charity Night was held in Beijing, attracting hundreds of distinguished guests from the business, arts, education, and philanthropy communities. Lu Siqing, President of The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ), was invited to attend, witnessing the warmth and power of charity firsthand.
In recognition of the school’s exceptional achievements in fostering youth music education, the Dongrun Foundation, which is dedicated to advancing education and youth aesthetic development, extended an invitation for a performance. Representing YMSQ, Lu Siqing led a group of talented students, including Grade 12 violinists Wang Weikuan, Jing Haoran, and Wei Chuanqi, as well as Grade 10 cellist Kuang Yihao, to participate in the evening’s charity concert.
The four students collaborated to perform Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 12, Fourth Movement, showcasing their remarkable musical expertise and professional stage presence. Their performance received enthusiastic applause, exemplifying the school’s depth in nurturing young musical talent.

Later, the students accompanied President Lu Siqing in a heartfelt performance of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, playing movements from Winter and Summer. Despite the cold winter night, the emotional and masterful performance by Lu Siqing, supported by the students’ accompaniment, warmed the hearts of all present.

At the end of the event, Ms. Kong Dongmei, Chair of the Dongrun Foundation, presented certificates to the YMSQ students, thanking them for sharing the voice of charity through their music. She encouraged them to continue refining their craft and striving for greater dreams.
