Sun Ke embarked on his musical journey under the tutelage of Professor Fu Yijie, later advancing his studies under N.M. Volkof, head of the Wind Department at the Belarusian State Academy of Music, where he earned his master's degree. His doctoral research was guided by Professor Dai Zhonghui at the Central Conservatory of Music. After completing his studies abroad, he returned in 2003 to teach trumpet and wind chamber music at Qingdao University.

 

In recent years, Sun Ke has held several solo and ensemble concerts domestically and internationally. He serves as the conductor and leader of the Qingdao University Marching Band, Secretary-General of the Trumpet Committee of the Chinese Musicians Association, a member of the International Trumpet Guild, and a member of the Democratic National Construction Association. He is a judge for the National Trumpet Competition, a recognized talent in Qingdao, a signed artist of China Orchestral Network, and an endorsed artist for STOMVI trumpets in Spain.

 

Sun Ke’s students have excelled in national high-level competitions. Many of his undergraduate and master's students have been admitted to prestigious institutions abroad, including the Mannes School of Music, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, University of North Texas, Conservatoire de Lyon, and Belarusian State Academy of Music. His graduates work in major colleges and symphony orchestras across China. His teaching achievements have been praised by professionals such as Professor Steve Leisring, Associate Dean of the University of Kansas School of Music; Professor Maxim Shkulepa, Head of the Orchestral Department at the Belarusian State Academy of Music; and Brandon Ridenour, a renowned former trumpeter of the Canadian Brass.
