Teng Bo was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music in 2013 with outstanding results. In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious Joy Tredennick Scholarship and entered the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) in the UK, where he graduated with a master's degree with the highest honours.

 

Teng Bo has won numerous international awards, including Second Prize at the Vienna International Classic Strings Competition (with no First Prize awarded), Gold Prize at the Franz Schubert International Music Competition, First Prize at the Vivaldi International Music Competition, Second Prize at the Fanny Mendelssohn International Music Competition, and Gold Prize at the Beethoven International Music Competition, among others.

 

Teng Bo’s musical career has taken him around the world. In 2010, he was invited to perform at an international arts festival tour in Montreal, Canada. In 2014, he received a full scholarship from the Fondation de France to participate in the International Spring Music Festival in France. In 2016, he was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Summit Music Festival in the United States. In 2017, he participated in the concert commemorating the 80th anniversary of Professor Lin Yaoji's birth. Teng Bo is also dedicated to the development of chamber music and orchestral culture. He served as the assistant principal of his section at the Royal Academy of Music and was invited to Russia in 2014 to perform as principal of his section at the Krasnoyarsk International Music Festival of the Asia-Pacific Region. In 2016, he participated in the masterclass of Belgian chamber music expert Professor Gong Hanxiang and successfully held a concluding concert.

 

Teng Bo has a great passion for teaching. During his studies at the Central Conservatory of Music, he took a minor in music education psychology for children. While studying in the UK, he earned the professional teaching qualification from the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM), gaining extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in music education.
