We had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation led by Vanessa Latarche, the Head of the Keyboard Faculty at the Royal College of Music in London, and Dr. Scott Mcbride Smith, Professor of Piano Pedagogy and Doctoral Supervisor at the University of Kansas in the United States, at The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ).

On August 25th, Mr. Lin Siao Fou-Menuhin, the grandson of the esteemed maestro Yehudi Menuhin, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Zhang Xiaoqing, graced the premises of The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao with their presence.

Commencing from August 24th, Mr. David Buckley, the Chairman of The Yehudi Menuhin School (YMS) Board in the UK, along with his wife and accomplished musician Yao Yi, embarked on a journey to Qingdao.

On August 14th, Mr. deputy director general of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, and Dr. Zhang Zhiqing, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of Macau University of Science and Technology, visited The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao.

During the summer vacation in July, the campus of the Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ) remains vibrant. Embraced by the gentle sea breeze, a multitude of events, including music competitions and summer camps, await young music enthusiasts from across China.

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Wang Hong, an esteemed violinist and visiting professor for the 2022-2023 academic year, will transition into a full-time professorial role within our violin department, commencing in the fall semester of 2023.

On June 10th,The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao held its inaugural graduation ceremony and concert at the Menuhin Hall with grandeur and fanfare.

From June 5th to 10th, Benjamin David Gudgeon, Headmaster of The Yehudi Menuhin School, accompanied by Ashley Jonathan Wass, Music Director for both schools, conducted a six-day inspection and advisory visit to our institution.

On June 9th, Wang Luming, Director of the Standing Committee of the Qingdao Municipal People's Congress, welcomed Headmaster of The Yehudi Menuhin School Benjamin David Gudgeon and Music Director Ashley Jonathan Wass.
