On November 13th to 14th, 2023, the Beijing Forum for Symphonic Music was held at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in China, Violinist Lu Siqing, the President of the Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao, was invited to attend.

From October 30th to November 3rd, Professor Boris Kucharsky, a violin professor from The Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK, visited Qingdao for a week-long residency to conduct teaching and research at The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ).

At the start of the new academic year, the music faculty at The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ) is bolstered with the addition of renowned pianist and piano educator, Professor Sun Yun. Last academic year, Professor Sun Yun conducted a highly acclaimed public masterclass at our school. This year, she joins as a piano professor at YMSQ. A pianist deeply versed in the essence of both German and Russian musical traditions, Professor Sun Yun, who also teaches at the Shanghai Conservatory of Mus

On September 28th, Professor Philip Gilmartin, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hull, UK, visited The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ).

We had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation led by Vanessa Latarche, the Head of the Keyboard Faculty at the Royal College of Music in London, and Dr. Scott Mcbride Smith, Professor of Piano Pedagogy and Doctoral Supervisor at the University of Kansas in the United States, at The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ).

On August 25th, Mr. Lin Siao Fou-Menuhin, the grandson of the esteemed maestro Yehudi Menuhin, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Zhang Xiaoqing, graced the premises of The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao with their presence.

Commencing from August 24th, Mr. David Buckley, the Chairman of The Yehudi Menuhin School (YMS) Board in the UK, along with his wife and accomplished musician Yao Yi, embarked on a journey to Qingdao.

On August 14th, Mr. deputy director general of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, and Dr. Zhang Zhiqing, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of Macau University of Science and Technology, visited The Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao.

During the summer vacation in July, the campus of the Yehudi Menuhin School Qingdao (YMSQ) remains vibrant. Embraced by the gentle sea breeze, a multitude of events, including music competitions and summer camps, await young music enthusiasts from across China.
